Tour Guide / Private Party Coordinator

Brewery Adventures is currently seeking a Tour Guide / Private Party Coordinator to help run public and private brewery bus tours in San Francisco and Marin/Sonoma counties. This is a part-time (between 15-20 hours per week) 1099 position. This position needs to be available on weekends and 1-2 days during the work week.

We're looking for someone who can lead some of our private and public tours, as well as help coordinate private party inquiries through our website and 800 number.

Reponsibilities:

  • Run one to two public or private brewery bus tours per week (approx. 4-8 hours each tour).
  • Answer and return all incoming phone calls. Enter all calls in an online database.
  • Coordinate all incoming private party inquiries (via email and phone). Log all inquiries in a database and respond to inquiries in a timely manner. 
  • Schedule and confirm private parties using an online tour calendar. Enter all confirmed private party details in an online database.
  • Maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) database. Add customer information and emails/calls regularly. 

About You:

  • You have an outgoing personality and an undeniable passion for craft beer.
  • You have a gift for leading large groups of people that may be slightly inebriated.
  • You enjoy entertaining guests by playing beer games on the bus, answering questions about the breweries/craft beer movement and are excellent at making sure that everyone's having a ridiculously fun time. 
  • You're a self-starter and can work indepently. You are extremely reliable and very organized.
  • You have strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • You can multitask with ease, and juggle many different and related tasks.

Requirements/Skills:

  • HS Diploma (bonus for those with a tourism/hospitality degree) 
  • Passion/knowledge for craft beer
  • Experience working and leading large groups
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation (you won't be driving but you'll need to meet our bus/limo drivers outside of SF on occasion with multiple heavy items)
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs (beer is heavy! :) )
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must have computer/printer access, a smartphone (iPhone, Droid), mp3 player, and a digital camera
  • Ability and willingness to acquire any additional skills necessary for the position, flexibility and creativity to respond to a changing work environment.

Bonus Points if you:

  • Have a tourism background (perhaps you've led large tour groups before and already know interesting facts about Northern CA)
  • Are familiar with using Salesforce or any other databases
  • Are a homebrewer or know way too much about craft beer
  • Have experience with Drupal or any other content management system (CRM)
